Golden Nuggets: Vernon Davis isn't losing any sleep over contract holdout

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

Saturday, June 28, 2014 edition of the Golden Nuggets, a daily compilation of 49ers links from around the web.

Good morning everyone, we have officially entered day 10 of the Vernon Davis holdout and he seems to be speaking to anyone that will give him a medium. Yesterdays interview with the Atlanta Journal Constitution was a particularly awkward one because of the nonchalant approach he seems to be taking to his holdout. He was quoted saying "It’s not the end of the world if I don’t get it" and " If I don’t get it at the moment, I’m not going to lose any sleep."

It was just an all around weird interview that seems to kill any leverage he had in this negotiation. I don't know if he is planning some sort of reverse psychology by throwing his hands in the air, saying "aww shucks," and hoping he gets some public support for being so nice about the whole thing. I don't get it, but I'm glad it looks like he won't be holding out into anything important, at least until he changes his mind again. Whatever, lets get to the links.
