Attn. Niners Fans in Seattle: Proposing "Auto Battery" as official Niners bar in Seattle

As most of you remember, last year there was a thread about Niners bars in other cities. While Seattle has bars for many other teams (Bears, Vikings, Packers, Patriots, Browns, etc.), there is somehow no Niners bar. It's absurd with the relatively large population of Niners fans in Seattle that we've been bullied out of getting our own spot. Personally, I'm tired of dealing with douchebag Seahawks fans everytime I go to a bar to watch the Niners game.

So, I propose that this upcoming year we claim Auto Battery, the sports bar on Capitol Hill on Union and 10th Ave, as the official Niners gathering place to watch the games together. Here are my reasons for choosing Auto Battery:

1) It's in hipsterville Capitol Hill, where most people are "too cool" to care about sports. In places like Pioneer Square, Belltown, Fremont, etc. the Seahawks fans are more aggressive and the sports bars more packed - it would be harder to take over somewhere there. While there are some exceptions in Capitol Hill (most notably the anti-Niners bar 95 slide), for the most part people are lukewarm towards sports. Auto Battery perfectly reflects this - I've been there on Sundays and for the most part there's a few Seahawks fans, a small scattering of fans of other teams, and a bunch of disinterested people. It'd be easy to dominate quickly with a handful of niners fans.

2) The ownership group of Auto Battery manages several other establishments, including a nearby club and several other spots throughout the city. Auto Battery is sort of their sports bar afterthought, and they clearly couldn't care less about who comes there. This is actually an issue in many spots, as many bar owners and managers don't want to be the "Niners bar", since they feel it would negatively affect their business and public opinion about them. Here, that is not an issue.

3) They have Sunday Ticket (of course), a ton of TVs, cheap beer and booze, and very good hot dogs from Po' Dogs next door.

Fellow Seattle Niners fans, let me know what you think - I'd really like to make this happen! If you think another place would be better, feel free to suggest and explain why.
