All the talk this offseason was about the Niners getting LaMichael James back to the team, Lattimore's recovery from injury, and the team drafting Carlos Hyde, who most considered the best RB in the college game. But the biggest news will be if Frank Gore is still able to perform up to his usual levels. He is still a top RB in this league and a leader of this team. The other RBs will have their share of snaps to take the load off Frank, but this team will rely heavily on him.
Now that he's 31 years old, a drop off in production should be seen. But Frank is trying to counteract that by taking up boxing, which will help with his stamina. With this training routine and some backups who can take some of the load, we expect another productive season out of a 49er great. The Niners will need another great season from him.
