So we're just a couple days into training camp and I am officially bummed out. Tre and I talked a few weeks back about running back Kendall Hunter and how the players we generally like end up getting screwed or they don't pan out. We talked specifically about Hunter not getting the carries he should have and his future at the running back position.
Well ... I guess this further proves the theory that we just shouldn't like players anymore. Hunter tore his ACL at practice, as we found out early on Saturday. I'm incredibly bummed out, and I feel really horrible for Hunter. He's a good player, with starting capability, but this injury coupled with a debilitating Achilles injury from 2012 doesn't bode well for his future prospects.
At the very least, I expect his time with the San Francisco 49ers is at an end. And the running back position, incredibly, remains a strength. I guess let's get on to the links for the day.
