It's the first Monday since the 49ers Training Camp began and a whole lot has already happened, but not all of them good. Tops in our links timeline is the running back situation. What was thought to be the deepest group on the team has just lost two backups in Kendall Hunter and LaMichael James.
Hunter is gone for the season, LMJ will be back in a month, and Marcus Lattimore sounds like he is very close to joining practices. This does present an interesting opportunity for one Carlos Hyde and that 2nd round pick Trent Baalke used on him is looking better and better every day. Jewel Hampton will also get extra work.

Mount Okoye
Like many of you, I cannot get enough to satisfy my OKOYE FIX so I just gobble up any type of news I can get about him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him appear as a gladiator or warrior in some historical fantasy. How about Game of Thrones? Now there's an idea...

Cornering the Market
The CB group looks to have the most question marks coming into the season, but a few breakout performances and this could very easily become a strength. Reid and Bethea will be solid at safety. Brock is a rock and Culliver still has to recapture the flashes he showed in 2012. I am already ecstatic with what I've seen from Jimmie Ward's early camp work.

More from Training Camp
Lots more things to be sorted out in camp, but that goes for every team. Pre-season games will give us a better glimpse of how different this team will look this season. There are definitely more changes than there were last year.
