The San Francisco 49ers are back at practice later today, and they will welcome back right tackle Anthony Davis. He is expected to participate in individual drills for now. If he can do more he will, but it sounds like individual work only for now. Davis has said he will be back in time for Week 1 of the regular season, but we'll see if he gets any preseason game action before then.
In other news, wide receiver Michael Crabtree will not be at practice today. He is down in Texas, where his son, Michael Crabtree III was born yesterday. As would be expected, Jim Harbaugh had some great lines about the newest member of the 49ers:
Harbaugh on #49ers wide receiver @KingCrab15's son, born Monday. "Ten fingers. Ten toes... The statistics were very good."

Jim Harbaugh announces Michael Crabtree welcomed son, Michael Anthony Crabtree III Mon. "Didn't get a wingspan on him yet." Crabtree in TX.

Coach Harbaugh did not mention when Crabtree will be back to practice. Congrats to the new father!
Finally, Patrick Willis is working through something, but could play on Sunday vs. the San Diego Chargers. I think most of us figure Willis will probably sit out the game. He missed the first two games, and generally knows what he needs to do. It will be interesting to see how Willis works with either Michael Wilhoite or Chris Borland when the season gets started. Although chemistry seems most important along the offensive line, how Willis and his new running mate interact would seem to be something to track in the early going.
