Good morning everyone. Yesterday was really just a continuation from the past few days regarding the grass at Levi's. I really don't see what the big deal is, but hey, I guess people have to talk about something, right? As long as its ready for games, who really cares? Speaking of games, a few prep football games have been scheduled at Levi's in September. That list includes De La Salle, and a few other schools including my old high school, Elk Grove. Unfortunately, De La Salle, the school of the movie "When the Game Stands Still," rescheduled their game due to the field situation. Apparently, the fact that the San Diego Chargers, and several other billion dollar NFL teams are fine with playing on the field isn't good enough for them. They can say whatever they want, but I know exactly what is really happening here. De La Salle got a fancy Hollywood movie, and now they're big timing us.
Anyways, I'm ready for the preseason to be over. They say that the third preseason game is the "one to watch" because the starters will play the most. But I don't want to see much of the starters in a meaningless exhibition. I don't think the first string defense has even played at all aside from a guy or two. So at this point, seeing them play for a quarter or two more in a meaningless game doesn't mean very much. The 49ers seem to be trend setters in the league, so lets set another trend. Buck tradition and play our starters even less in the third preseason game. And by less, I mean not at all. Lets go for broke and see if we can break the preseason blowout record, whatever that is. Now lets get to those links.
