Fooch's Update: We have moved our updates to a new thread
Today marks the deadline for the San Francisco 49ers to cut down to their 53-man roster. They cut from 90 to 75 on Monday, and now have to make the final moves to get to 53 players. A lot of teams have handled their final roster cuts. The 49ers had to wait for the Aldon Smith suspension news, but it is also safe to say they have been talking with teams about potential trades. The 49ers have a lot of back-end talent that will not make the roster, but will help plenty of other teams.

With 32 teams cutting approximately 23 players apiece, there will be over 700 players hitting the market. Most of them will go through the waiver wire process, while plenty of vested veterans will be immediately free to sign with another team. This means that even though teams will cut down to 53 players, that will not necessarily be their final 53-man roster heading into Week 1.
The waiver wire order is currently based on draft rankings. That will change in a few weeks to order of record, but for now, the Houston Texans hold the No. 1 waiver spot, and the 49ers hold the No. 30 waiver spot. Given that the 49ers and Texans played two days ago, how many 49ers do you think they claim after final cuts? Waivers will run on Sunday at 9 a.m. PT, after which we'll find out which players are available to join the 49ers practice squad.
Here is the 49ers full roster. As transactions happen today, we will update this. The 49ers will get a roster exemption for Aldon Smith during his 9-week suspension, so I have crossed him off. The 49ers will announce that later today, but tentatively that puts the team at 74 players.
Seven players have been crossed off that are on in-season injury lists. They are:
PUP: NaVorro Bowman, Garrett Celek, Kaleb Ramsey
NFI: Marcus Lattimore, Trey Millard, Keith Reaser, Brandon Thomas
Suspended: Aldon Smith
Holdout: Alex Boone
IR: Kendall Hunter
