The San Francisco 49ers offense needs to get something figured out soon if they want to get anything going in this season. Offensive coordinator Geep Chryst met with the media Thursday, and he had an interesting comment that is easy to overreact to. It might have been an unintentional slip, but it does get you thinking:
#49ers OC Geep Chryst: We made some major changes. I shouldn’t say major. We made some adjustments we feel good about.

He went on to try and clarify that it's little things here and there, as opposed to major changes. I do wonder though if he sort of accidentally let the cat out of the bag with regard to what we'll see this Sunday. He might have been trying to temper expectations given recent struggles. Of course, a lot of it comes back to getting the offensive line operating in an at least moderately decent fashion. Chryst talked about the importance of fundamentals, and getting back to basics in certain respects.
I am not exactly holding my breath for a stand-out performance on Sunday, but maybe we see something new that at least looks like an effort to improve.
