Moving on and looking forward

So we are pretty much done with Free Agency and moving into the draft. Baalke has done a reasonably good job filling positions of need, especially when you take into account what we have lost and some that we did not expect to lose (Willis, Borland) and some that are up in the air (Cowboy).

So now we turn our heads to the draft. In coming up with this draft scenario I'd like to thank the guys I "stole" from. Most especially 49erFanSince1950, AManimal and EBNF amongst others for their valuable work

There's some meaningless blather that goes on from board members (myself included) and especially in these times of a lot of change (insert here Germ saying "Change? Change???!!! Are you talking about Change?????!!!!!" mimicking Jim Mora). But the reality is that we need to get a few good players and coach up (or deal with) what we have.

What I've tried to present here is a possibility of focusing on our needs and working the board to come up with a team that not only is viable for this year but for coming years as well. Am I worrying about us getting to the Super Bowl this year? No, I'm a fan but not a fanatic (or try not to be) . The concept is to get good pieces in place going forward, to replace players lost as well as to get players that can play special roles.

That being said here is my proposal.
Trade:
49ers 1st Rd #15 (Value: 1050) + 6th #189 (Value: 17) [Total Value: 1067]
For
Cowboys 1st Rd #27 (Value: 680) + 3rd Rd 91 (Value: 136) + 2nd 2016 (Value: 2016 @300 2015 @225 ) + 2016 4th (Value: @45, 2015 Value @34) [Total Value 2015: (Given)395 + (Swapped)680 = 1075][Difference: +8]

This leaves us with the following Picks:1st Rd #27, 2nd Rd #46, 3rd Rd #79, 3rd Rd #91, 4th Rd #126, 4th Rd #132, 5th Rd #151, 7th Rd #246, 7th Rd #254
Along with gains of 2016 2nd and 4th Rd picks (You're welcome EBNF)

Draft "needs" (in alpha order): CB, DL, ILB, OT, TE, RB, WR
Picks:
1st Rd #27 WR Breshad Perriman
2nd Rd #46 ILB Stephen Anthony
3rd Rd #79 CB Josh Shaw
3rd Rd #91 OT/OL Cedric Ogbuehil
4th Rd #126 DE Henry Anderson
4th Rd #132C WR Darren Waller
5th Rd #151 RB Karlos Williams
7th Rd #246 BPA
7th Rd #254C QB Brandon Bridges

In doing this Trade and Draft we achieve the following:
1) Pick up 2016 2nd and 4th round picks.
2) Get a WR that can play alongside Torrey and Boldin (et. al.) and be the eventual successor to Boldin starting 2016
3) Get a player to learn to play alongside Navarro Bowman at ILB
4) Get another valuable prospect at CB (6'0 201 lbs Running a 4.44 40, 26 reps on the bench)
5) Get a swing Tackle prospect that can play guard if need be (has experience there)
6) Get another good Dlineman to add to our crew.
7) Get a Receiver prospect that is pegged to be a Project TE and if not then a good WR that has speed (4.46 40) as well as size (6'6" 238 lbs), blocking ability, and just needs to be coached up.
8) A bowling ball (6'1" 230 lbs) RB that can help out Hyde on short yardage, and is also good in ST.
9) A QB project that has some similar skills to Colin.

So therefore we go into the Season looking as follows:
OFFENS
QB: Colin Kaepernick, Blaine Gabbert, Brandon Bridges
[Colin should do better with hopefully a better O-Line and not hobbled by coaches trying to force him to be Peyton Manning when he's not. Brandon will go on the practice squad and hopefully start learning how to be an NFL quarterback at least as a back up. He is a long term project.]

OL: Joe Staley, Anthony Davis, Alex Boone, Marcus Martin, Brandon Thomas, Daniel Kilgore, Cedric Ogbuehil, Joe Looney
[You have a hopefully more stable crew at OL with a lot of good young prospects in Thomas, Martin, and Ogbuehil.
Starting lineup is most probably LT Staley, RT ADavis, C Kilgore/MMartin, LG Thomas/Martin/Kilgore, RG Boone/MMartin/Kilgore]

WR: Torrey Smith, Anquan Boldin, Breshad Perriman, Bruce Ellington, Jerome Simpson, Quinton Patton
[Torrey adds some needed speed and Bruce will compliment that, as well as Simpson. Boldin and Perriman will be the possession players.]

TE: Vernon Davis, Vance McDonald, Derek Carrier, Garret Celek, Asante Cleveland, Darren Waller
[Waller will go on the practice squad I'm guessing probably along with Cleveland. Starters Vernon, Vance with Carrier helping out. ]

FB: Trey Millard, Bruce Miller
[I see Millard as the eventual successor to Miller and to an extent Delaney as one of the Swiss Army Knife players. Carrier and Waller will also join in that aspect.]

RB: Carlos Hyde, Reggie Bush, Kendall Hunter, Karlos Williams
[Hyde will be the main runner with Reggie as the scat back, and if healthy I see Hunter coming in to change things up as well. Karlos will be brought in hopefully slowly and on short yardage at first.]

DEFENSE:
DL: Tank Carradine, Quinton Dial,Darnell Dockett, Glenn Dorsey, (iDub)Ian Williams, TJE, Henry Anderson, Lawrence Okoye, Kaleb Ramsey, Michael Purcell, Cowboy(?)
OLB: Aldon Smith, Aaron Lynch, Ahmad Brooks, Corey Lemonier
ILB: Navarro Bowman, Michael Wilhoite, Stephen Anthony, Nick Moody, Shane Skov, Chase Thomas

CB: Tramaine Brock, Dontae Johnson, Jimmie Ward, Keith Reaser, Kenneth Acker, Josh Shaw, Marcus Cromartie, Chris Cook, Shareece Wright
S: Reid, Bethea, Dahl, McCray

Special Teams:
K: Phil Dawson
P: Andy Lee
LS:Kyle Nelson
Returner: Jarryd Hayne, Trindon Holliday
