How Bad Was Kaepernick in 2014?

I did a similar post earlier, but I feel it lacked some information. I am doing this because many people take Kap's third year as a regression, and use it as an example as to why he isn't good, why he won't be good, or why he better be good in 2015 or we should move on. So how bad was he? Is there a good reason to give up on him? I have some proof it would be a mistake to count Kap out. So here is a comparison of Kap's third year passing stats, compared to 5 other QBs third year who have won 2 or more SB, and are typically considered among the best QBs. I will also include their first "stand out" year and how long it took them to get there.

Big-Ben: 3,513, 18td-23int, 59.7%, 75.4PR. In his 4th year he reached 32td and 11 int. Took until his 6th year to break 4,000 yards, and had 26-12 TD-int.

Eli Manning- 3,244, 24td-18int, 57.7%, 77.0PR. Wasn't until his 6th year that he threw for 4,000 yards with a 27-14 TD-int.

Tom Brady- 3,620, 23td-12int, 60.2% 85.9PR. In his 5th year he passed for 4,000+ and had 26-14 TD-INT.

John Elway- 3,891, 22td-23int, 54.0%, 70.2PR. Wasn't until his ELEVENTH year that he broke 4,000 and had 25-10 TD-INT.

Aikman- 2,754, 11td-10int, 65.3%, 86.7PR. Never had a 4,000 yard or 30 TD season.

Kap- 3,369, 19td-10int, 60.5%, 86.4PR. We will see if he has a 30TD or 4,000 yard season.

And here is the average stats from all these QBs combined

3,398, 19.5td-16int, 59.56%, and 80.3 PR.

So my conclusion on these stats? For one, as a rusher, Kap FAR exceeds all of these players, yet still has passing stats better than everyone but Brady (but still similar). I would say that is pretty impressive. The other thing is it took ALL of these QBs at LEAST, 5 years to pass for 4,000+. So we are supposed to move on from Kap if he doesn't do it next year and he won't ever be a great QB? Imagine if these teams let go of those QBs based on their early QB years!

People are very critical of Kap. He performed as well as HOF(likely) QBs did in their same amount of time. If anything I ask people to just be a bit more patient with Kap, and realize he is on the same pace so far as other Great QBs.
