Good morning everyone. I have terrible insomnia and it's actually 5:15 a.m. ET at the time of writing this ... 15 minutes after the Nuggets usually go live. So, clearly I'm terrible at my job but hey, at least I'm writing them, right? As usual, there aren't too many new things as far as the San Francisco 49ers go. Things are going to go slowly until training camp proper, at which point we'll hear a lot of things that don't actually matter but will at least be disguised as news.
For now, it's mostly it's just some quotes from players, recent quotes from 49ers staff, talk about the San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors, and things of that nature. Nothing of actual importance will happen until the third preseason game and even that is debatable, depending on how much you believe there will be an actual, real quarterback battle between Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick.
