The second day of the divisional round gets going on Sunday afternoon as the Dallas Cowboys host the Green Bay Packers. The game kicks off at 1:40 p.m. PT on FOX, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman in the announcer booth, and Erin Andrews on the sideline. The winner advances to face the Atlanta Falcons in the 2017 NFC title game.
We continue to wait for a nail-biter of a game. The Houston Texans looked like they might give the New England Patriots a run for their money on Saturday, but they could not last the distance. The Cowboys are a 5.5-point favorite against a Packers team that has been playing some quality football lately. Green Bay is getting a majority of the public money as they are on a seven-game winning streak and thumped the Giants in the wild card round. I think we end up seeing the Cowboys win this one by about 10.
49ers fans have their own rooting interest in this game. If the Cowboys win, Green Bay executives Eliot Wolf and Brian Gutekunst will be free to take a GM job in San Francisco. If the Packers win, they could join the 49ers, but only with permission from Green Bay.
