Owings Mills, MD (Sports Network) - Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis and Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney did not participate in Thursday's practice, in advance of Sunday's contest between the clubs in Indianapolis.
Lewis is battling a knee problem and has not practiced either day this week. The 13-year veteran has posted 29 tackles in four games this season.
Freeney also sat out Wednesday and Thursday while working through a groin problem. The 28-year-old has 10 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles in four contests.
In addition, Colts cornerback Bob Sanders did not participate in Thursday's practice with a knee injury. Sanders, the fifth-year pro, has only played in two games in 2008, credited with 13 tackles.
