Recap: NC State vs. Wake Forest

Raleigh, NC (Sports Network) - Russell Wilson totaled three touchdowns to lead the NC State Wolfpack to a 21-17 victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in an ACC tilt at Carter-Finley Stadium.
Wilson threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns for NC State (4-6, 2-4 ACC), while also rushing for 69 yards and one more score.
Riley Skinner threw for 176 yards and one touchdown for Wake Forest (6-4, 4-3), while Marshall Williams caught seven passes for 116 yards and one score.
The Wolfpack took an early 7-0 lead with an 11-yard touchdown pass from Wilson to George Bryan.
The Demon Deacons evened the score at 7-7 when D. J. Boldin hit Williams with a 64-yard scoring strike.
Late in the second quarter Wilson found the end zone on a four-yard touchdown run, giving the Wolfpack a 14-7 lead.
However, the Demon Deacons quickly responded with a seven-yard touchdown pass from Skinner to Boldin, sending the game into the intermission tied at 14-14.
In the final seconds of the third quarter Shane Popham nailed a 24-yard kick for Wake Forest.
However, the Wolfpack would post the final points in the contest, as Wilson connected with Anthony Hill for an eight-yard touchdown, giving NC State a 21-17 victory.
