Recap: Colorado vs. Oklahoma State
Sports Network | November 15, 2008
Boulder, CO (Sports Network) - Zac Robinson threw a 29-yard touchdown to Dez Bryant and ran for another, as 11th-ranked Oklahoma State slipped past Colorado, 30-17, at Folsom Field.
Kendall Hunter collected 102 yards rushing and a touchdown on 11 carries while Robinson finished 15-of-23 passing for 217 yards with an interception but also ran for 61 yards on 15 rushes. Bryant hauled in four passes for 82 yards
Brandon Pettigrew made seven receptions for 75 yards for the Cowboys (9-2, 5-2 Big 12), who opened the season with seven consecutive victories but have since fell victim to a grueling conference schedule with a pair of defeats in two of the previous three weeks.
First came a four-point setback to then No. 1 Texas in Austin on October 25th and last weekend the Cowboys were trounced by No. 2 Texas Tech, 56-20.
While a trip to the national title game is out of reach at this point, the Cowboys are still very much alive in the race for an at-large bid to a BCS bowl and will close out their regular season at home against bitter rival Oklahoma on November 29th. OSU is idle next weekend.
Cody Hawkins completed 19-of-37 pass attempts for 171 yards and a score while Demetrius Sumler gained 86 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown.
Scotty McKnight had four catches for 51 yards and a TD for the Buffaloes (5-6, 2-5), who halted a two-game slide last weekend with a 28-24 triumph over Iowa State. The Buffs still need one more victory to earn bowl eligibility and close out the season in Lincoln against Nebraska, November 28. Colorado is idle next weekend.
