Kansas, Missouri to play at Arrowhead through 2012

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The University of Kansas and the University of Missouri have entered into a four-year deal to play the Border Showdown at Arrowhead Stadium -- home of the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs -- through 2012.

The two universities have faced off 22 times in Kansas City in a rivalry dating back to 1891. The Jayhawks hold a 12-7-3 advantage in KC, and will serve as the host in 2009 and 2010 while Mizzou will entertain in 2011 and 2012.

Over the past decade, Arrowhead has hosted 17 college football games with a couple more Big 12 contests on tap for 2009.

In addition to Missouri and Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Iowa, Florida State and Kansas State have all buttoned up the chinstraps in Arrowhead.
