Round 2 Prediction Games!
[EDITOR'S NOTE - 1/9/08 - 9:24AM] - It's prediction time again. Even if you're not in the playoff (we're down to the final four), feel free to make your predictions.
Both contests started swimmingly this weekend. There was some confusion about how the bracket works, but going head to head is a bit more complex. I'm happy to answer any questions you have on scoring in either contest.
For any newcomers who want to join in, the point differential in the "free for all" game that everybody can play is a mere 5 points. With 3 weeks and 7 predictions to make it up, it's still not too late! You can make up 5 points with a single good prediction and a little luck! Feel absolutely free to join in the festivities. You might even get a front page story out of it!
The games for next week have been decided, and here they are:
Seattle @ Green Bay - SAT 1:30PM PSTJacksonville @ New England - SAT 5:00PM PST
San Diego @ Indianapolis - SUN 9:00AM PST
New York Giants @ Dallas - SUN 1:30PM PST
Predict away, Everybody!

The Bracket Matchups ths week look like this:

Like last week, you have the option of e-mailing your predictions to Fooch. And even though we didn't get as far as the total yardage tiebreak this week, we got close. So I'm going to follow Fooch's original model and say the final tiebreak game is the first of the weekend. If Fooch would rather have a different game, he can change it at will (the benefit of doing this the Sunday before: lots of time for minor changes).
So when you submit your predictions, bracketeers, don't forget to predict the total yardage for the SEA/GB game. It might just get you into the Championship Round.
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Niners Nation's writers or editors.

Front Page Post Info
I'll email the winners when the time comes to set it up. And if sfgfan wins the two tournaments to go with his regular season title, he gets three posts on topics of his choice.

Early bird picks
Jacksonville @ New England - Patriots 31-17
San Diego @ Indianapolis - Colts 30-24
New York Giants @ Dallas - Cowboys 28-17
Read 'em and weep boys. I wanted desperately to take the Jags over the Pats but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I hope making these picks early in the week doesn't come back and bite me in the arse.

Predictions
Seattle @ Green Bay: 17-34
Jacksonville @ New England: 35-34
San Diego @ Indianapolis: 20-31
New York Giants @ Dallas: 17-41
Yes...I put my money where my mouth is (even though no money is involved) and went with the Jaguars in a shootout. I think either the Jags win this in a squeaker or the Patriots just kill them (the Pats won't just barely squeak by). I'm going with the former baby!
