Happy Turkey Day Open Thread/Singletary withdraws name from Baylor job

Hopefully everyone will have a great Thanksgiving.  I'll have some more preview info up Thanksgiving night.  In the meantime, feel free to use this as an open thread for the Thursday games.  The Lions-Packers matchup has some serious playoff positioning implications and should be a fun one.

EDITOR'S UPDATE 12:50PM - Good News on this Turkey Day. Mike Singletary has withdrawn his name from consideration for the Baylor job.

"What happened was, we got to a point in the conversation where it just wasn't going to work... The more we talked about it, the more I knew -- and I think [McCaw] knew -- it wasn't going to work," Singletary told The Dallas Morning News on Thursday.

The former Chicago Bears' star linebacker said that he apprised McCaw that, "...unless you're talking about doing what it takes to win a national championship, you're talking to the wrong person."

Seeing as Baylor won't be competing for a national title anytime soon, we can breathe a temporary sigh of relief. Singletary will be going somewhere sometime soon. He has worked himself into a position of being quite deserving of a head coaching job somewhere. Now that his alma mater is off the table, would he still be open to a college head coaching job or does he try and stick with the NFL track? College head coaching is much different than NFL head coaching considering the recruiting, the youth and the general teaching involved. Of course, I think if I had a kid in and Mike Singletary came into my living room, I bet he could sell me pretty quickly on his university.
