49ers first training camp practice: Free tickets through the Merc

So I get the email newsletter from the 49ers every week and today's brought some interesting information.  All the players report to Santa Clara on July 24 and the first practice of training camp is held July 25.  The 49ers, in conjunction with the San Jose Mercury News, is offering free tickets to that first practice.  Here's the information from the email:

Friday, July 25th is San Jose Mercury News Day

Come out to the 49ers Training Camp in Santa Clara and watch the team practice, get player autographs, visit 49ers sponsor booths, enjoy interactive games, meet Gold Rush Cheerleaders and take your photo with the Super Bowl trophies.

You MUST have a ticket for admission, and here’s the ONLY way to get them:

1) Buy the Mercury News on Tuesday, July 8th for the special Training Camp code ad
2) Log on to 49ers.com to register for your FREE tickets using the special code

Tickets are limited so be sure to get your Mercury News on Tuesday, July 8th!

If you're interested in this, they're talking about tomorrow's issue of the Mercury News.

I made it down to Santa Clara a couple of times last summer, once for an open practice and once for a closed practice.  For the open practice they had a lot of activities set up and people seemed to be having a really good time.  While things might be more crisp during later practices, that first practice should still certainly be a good time.  At the very least you can get pictures with the Super Bowl trophies.  If I can make it to that practice that'd be a fun picture for the site.
