Here's the final injury report heading into tomorrow's matchup with Detroit.
49ers
Questionable
Donald Strickland
Out
Jonas Jennings
Shawntae Spencer
The most notable piece of information is that the 49ers still don't know how long Spencer might be out. Apparently the swelling on his knee hasn't gone down enough to determine if he tore his ACL against Seattle. Supposedly there will be more information released today. Spencer says he feels ok and doesn't think it's that bad, but maybe after the swelling goes down he'll think differently. It'd be a shame to lose such a solid nickel back.
Speaking of corners, Donald Strickland did fully take part in practice, so we'll see if he misses any action. Either way, part of the triumvirate of Marcus Hudson, Tarell Brown and Reggie Smith will see a decent amount more action this weekend.
Lions
Probable
S Gerald Alexander
DT Langston Moore
QB Drew Stanton
Questionable
DT Cory Redding
LB Jordon Dizon
DE Corey Smith
The only player on this list that missed all of practice the last few days was Cory Redding. The remainder had limited participation in practice. If Redding and Moore were both inactive this Sunday we'd see a some younger talent getting playing time on the defensive line. The Lions defense has struggled as is, so banged up players certainly can't be good for them. Anything to slow down any pass rush has to be a good thing for JTO and the 49ers.
