Bodoglife.com Spread: Vikings -7; Over/Under 39; Money Line: 49ers +245, Vikings -290 - Even if I was picking against the 49ers I'd still take them to cover. I think it'll be a defensive battle. So much so that I'd probably even take the under, even at 39.

49ers Stat of the Day: Today the 49ers can start a season 3-0 for the first time since 1998. Also, check out what Florida Danny had to say earlier today about the 49ers 2-0 start.

While the first two wins were certainly huge for the 49ers, today's battle in the Metrodome is the highest profile game to date for the 49ers. The two teams are meeting in the only matchup of 2-0 squads this week and as previously mentioned, the winner will leave week 3 with some serious buzz. As the stat of the day shows, the 49ers could roll to 3-0 for the first time in 11 years. Minnesota is playing their home opener and I'd imagine the crowd will be fired up for Favre's first home game. I would not expect a shoot-out today as both defenses will be keying on the run. So, it could very well come down to who can make more plays: Shaun Hill or Brett Favre. We'll find out soon if that's a good or bad thing.

GO NINERS!
