Dallas Cowboys (11-5) at Minnesota Vikings (12-4)
10:00 AM PST, FOX
Cowboys coverage: Blogging the Boys
Vikings coverage: Daily Norseman
The Cowboys have won four straight games and are arguably the hottest team in the league right now. The Vikings, led by Adrian Peterson, a stout defense, and the QB who shall not be named, stumbled a bit the last month of the season, but get a fired up home crowd. The Vikings sit as 3 point favorites in a game that really could go either way. Aside from the Vikings QB and this being the Cowboys, the worst part about this game is that we get Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. Any thoughts on the over/under for amount of weight Buck loses slobbering all over he who shall not be named?
New York Jets (9-7) at San Diego Chargers (13-3)
1:40 PM PST, CBS
Jets coverage: Gang Green Nation
Chargers coverage: Bolts from the Blue
The bookies view this as a bit of a mismatch, with the Chargers sitting as 8 point favorites, the biggest spread of the weekend. The Jets are clearly a good football team, but it seems like their confidence is carrying them as much as anything else. Now they get a monster test against a Chargers team that is on fire, having won 11 straight games to close out the season. We get one of the best individual matchups of the postseason as Darrelle Revis will get to go one on one with Vincent Jackson. If Mark Sanchez can avoid crapping the bed, it's possible the matchup between Lito Sheppard and the emerging Malcom Floyd. Either way, I wouldn't mind seeing Rex Ryan's squad take one on the chin.
