NFC -3, O/U 58
The NFL mixed things up this year and is holding the Pro Bowl both outside of Hawaii, and also a week before the Super Bowl. The event is being held at the same site as the Super Bowl, in Miami, in what would seem to be an attempt to provide even a little bit more relevance to the game. Whether this attempt will work or not is a whole other question. I'm not really sure if the game could ever be made "relevant." Here at NN we've had some suggestions that include going with a straight skills competition rather than an All-Star game. I could certainly some value in that as it would be a nice way to mix things up.
For 49ers fans, we get a chance to see Vernon Davis catching passes from Pro Bowl-caliber quarterbacks. We get to see Andy Lee showing off his powerful leg. And what I think is the best news, Patrick Willis will not be risking injury as he'll sit out the game with a slight case of knee bursitis.
Over the last 39 games, the NFC is 20-19 and has won 4 of the past 6 games. Whatever you can get out of the game, enjoy it.
