Caption This!

In the interests of superstition, let's look at the patterns established by the last few Caption This! installments. Last week, we honored an awesome photo of Jerry Rice. The 49ers proceeded to be awful. The week before that, we made some serious fun of Alex Smith and Jimmy Raye. The 49ers proceeded to almost beat the defending Super Bowl champions on prime time. The week before that, we made fun of Brett Favre. The 49ers proceeded to be awful.

So, to review: Once, we made fun of Jimmy Raye, and the 49ers played well. Twice, we did not make fun of Jimmy Raye, and the 49ers were awful. Well, I won't make that mistake again until next week.

Farewell, Jimmy Raye. I don't know where you're pointing, but I'm sure it's in or around the area of up the middle. In all honesty, you may or may not have deserved to lose your job - that's not really my place to say. However, making fun of you guarantees that the 49ers will play well this weekend. Also: mockery is the greatest form of flattery. Or so I've heard. That's what my friends tell me, and those guys flatter me a lot. And why would they lie to me?

You know the drill: Use the comments to provide your captions, and rec' the ones you like the best.
