This is it, men, the day that our 49ers show us something. The day that we no longer have to toss and turn at night with 0-16 looming in our midnight visage. No more waking up in a cold sweat at the one nightmare that felt all too real. It's a shame, just a few weeks ago we were having colorful dreams in which we were partying, celebrating our NFC West champion 49ers, hitting up a Seattle bar only to see Scot McCloughan stumbling out, a wreck, drinking the Seahawks's failures away. Needless to say, he's having a victory case or two in these new nightmares. This game today will be a 49ers victory. You can write it down, put it up on the fridge, tell your parents and your sister. This is a 49ers win.
By the way, I'm not the only guy here who routinely dreams about the 49ers, am I? If so, ignore the sizable portion of the Nuggets in which I went on about nightmares ... I don't actually get those. All of my dreams revolve around me fighting ninjas with Action Hank. And also the day when I finally usurp that meddling Fooch as overlord of Niners Nation... T'will be a glorious and bloody day. On to your links.
Could the return of WR Ted Ginn spark the 49ers offense? I'm unsure, personally. I want to have a small measure of faith in Ginn, but he hasn't shown anything while wearing the red and gold. Or the ... green and orange? For that matter. (SacBee.com)
Head coach Mike Singletary is emulating Bill Walsh. Sounds good, right? Think again. (PressDemocrat.com)
The best way to describe the 2010 San Francisco 49ers would be this question: "Why would you do that?!" Mistakes define this team thus far this year. (CSNBayArea.com)
Will Brian Westbrook help the 49ers pick up a win today? I sure hope so. I think a few of us have some unrealistic expectations as to what would happen if Westbrook saw extended playing time, he's not going to come in and suddenly make the offense role. But he can help, that he can do. Let's hope he does. (Yahoo.com)
The lack of playing time will likely give him a low profile, which I suppose is good. Not so much against his former team, though. They know what he can do. Better than the Niners do, apparently. (SacBee.com)
Delanie Walker is definitely out, and WR Kyle Williams will likely not play. Sucks about Williams, as I don't have faith in any of those guys. (Examiner.com)
Sam Lam continues hosting Q&A sessions with his fellow Examiners, up now is their Eagles Examiner, as you might expect. (Examiner.com)

Gary Plummer compared the 49ers to the '92 Chargers. I suppose it's an apt comparison. (SFGate.com)
