The 49ers and Rams are officially in a bit of a dogfight as neither team can really create much separation. The Rams moved down the field for a touchdown thanks in large part to some hideous 49ers penalties. Many were deserved but some of the personal foul penalties seem a little uncalled for. Now the 49ers and Rams are exchanging punts. Troy Smith is holding on to the ball too long and the Rams offensive line is starting to leak just a little bit. Let's hope the 49ers can make something happen soon. And with that they get a HUGE completion to Vernon Davis to get up to the 44 yard line!
