Through a little over a quarter of play the San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing some fairly hideous football. The teams exchanged punts before the Bucs finally figured things out and basically ran over the 49ers defense to take a 7-0 lead. Josh Freeman made some plays with his arms and legs, but the Bucs running game really made some things happen on that drive. LeGarrette Blount absolutely trucked Parys Haralson and the trio of Blount, Earnest Graham, and Cadillac Williams really moved the Bucs down the field. Williams capped it off with a six yard touchdown run that was just a little bit too easy.
The 49ers offense needs to get things going and avoid the stupid mistakes that are costing them. The 49ers are winless in games when they have a turnover so let's hope they can snap that losing streak today. They've punted three times and fumbled and it's safe to say that's not gonna cut it today. The Bucs are a good enough team that the 49ers can't keep giving them chances.
