Bye-Bye the 49ers are on a Bye: How Will You Spend It?

Hmmm...What to do when the 49ers are on a bye-week? Maybe I'll just sit on a bench in Qatar. (Photo by Bryn Lennon/Getty Images)

James made mention earlier in the Nuggets about how difficult it is to be a NFL fan when your team isn't playing a game that week. I tend to agree. Sure, I'm a fan of football and the NFL in general...but like James I often find myself falling asleep during night-games unless they are thrillers or, of course, the 49ers are playing in said games.

Well here we find ourselves in one of those weeks with the 49ers on a bye. It's good for the team I suppose...they just got back from a long trip in London and I'm sure their body clocks are in need of adjusting. Not to mention the pretty horrible first-half of the season they've had...I bet that's tiring too.

Singletary gave the team the entire week off to relax, be with family, take a vacation...whatever they want. But how will you, the 49ers fan, spend this bye week? It's "Bye-bye" 49ers football on Sunday. Short of driving your Chevy to the levee, will you watch any football in the NFL this weekend?

Maybe you'll watch other NFC West games, hoping they all lose so the 49ers can gain some ground in the pitiful division within which they find themselves placed last.

Or maybe you'll just be a casual fan of the NFL, checking out whichever games happen to end up on your TV, and trying to stay awake or interested.

Or are you such a serious fan that you've already got a game picked out that you'll intently watch all the way through.

Still another possibility, I suppose, is that you'll take the week off from watching football altogether. Maybe you plan your own vacations around this week as it's the only week you can pry yourself away from the NFL.

So, Niners Nation, how will you spend your bye week?
