Christmas Day is generally one of the slowest days of the year when it comes to site traffic. Naturally people are with family and enjoying the holiday. Of course maybe that's even more of a reason to poke around Niners Nation!
I'm not sure if we'll have much content today. Normally I'd try and get a couple things posted, but I'm down at my brother's in Las Vegas and don't have my normal Internet access. For now we'll have this as a sort of general open thread. Tonight Arizona and Dallas do battle in a Christmas Night football game on NFL Network. One upside to this game is a potentially different crew from the Thursday Night Football game. The NFL Network can't be pleased with the matchups this week, although given that this is a holiday week maybe they look at it as a wash since ratings might not be as good. Who knows.
Since it is Christmas after all, I'd imagine Santa brought some interesting 49ers-related presents for a few of you. So, what 49ers gifts did you receive for Christmas this year? Have you received some interesting presents in years past? My favorite 49ers Christmas present was the first thing I ever got related to the 49ers. The year the 49ers beat the Bengals on Montana-to-Taylor I got a simple red 49ers t-shirt. I was in 4th grade and my teacher was a Bengals fan. Although I washed it freequently, I thought it would be a good idea to wear it every day from Christmas to the Super Bowl. That's definitely something that's easier to get away with when you're 8, as opposed to 31.
I hope everyone has a happy holiday season. The 49ers once again do battle for their playoff lives tomorrow looking to live to see another day. Let's hope they deliver us a belated Christmas present!
