Golden Nuggets: Short And Sweet ... Or Maybe Just Short

New, comments

Short and sweet today, folks. It's very late, I'm very tired and I'm not getting any sleep these days. I used to be able to pull all-nighters with alarming frequency, now I'm just tired. Get your sleep, kids - it's good for you. Anyway, the 49ers fired a coach or something along those lines, I'm not reading into it all that much. I mean, I haven't yet - I will once I read the links I'll be providing for you. Anyway, getting right to it; enjoy.

Here's a Q&A from Barrows, in which he takes a look at some reasons as to why Alex Smith will now be the starting quarterback. (SacBee.com)

The 49ers are going with the old hand at quarterback; their reasoning is that Alex gives them the best chance to succeed. (PressDemocrat.com)

So they're ... asking Jon Gruden's son about these things now. Either way, he's linked his dad to the 49ers. Sounds good. (NBCBayArea.com)

More looks at why Alex is now starting in place of Troy. I'd personally go with Troy, but that's just me I guess. (SFGate.com)

Second look at the Seattle Seahawks. (49ers.com)

The spark is gone - does anything else really need to be said? (CSNBayArea.com)

The last thing the 49ers need is another meaningless last stand. I agree wholeheartedly with that statement. I don't want them to lose, but I don't want Jed getting confused. (MercuryNews.com)
