Pre-Draft Visits to the the 49ers' Santa Clara facility

New, comments

Prior to the draft, one of the continually running stories is players making visits to certain teams. As teams try to build up their Big Boards, they want to get as much information as possible about the hundreds of draft-eligible players. Teams travel to Pro Days at universities, they attend private player workouts, and they bring in players for workouts at team facilities. You can't get all the information you need from this, but it certainly helps. And for a guy like Mike Singletary, I'd imagine it helps to speak to a player face-to-face and try to get a sense of the player.

The folks at Pro Football Talk have put together a list of each NFL team and the players they hosted for workouts. A team is allowed 30 pre-draft visitors, and an unlimited number of "local" visitors and private workouts. For the 49ers, we've got a list of 27 players. So, while this list is probably not comprehensive, it's still useful to have. It will be interesting to see how many, if any, of these players are selected by the 49ers.

After the jump I've posted a list of the players...
