16 DAYS UNTIL THE DRAFT...
Oklahoma State has produced some of the greatest talent that the NFL has ever seen (i.e. Barry Sanders, Thurman Thomas). This year they will have two more players that could potentially be drafted in the top ten in Russell Okung and Dez Bryant. Dez Bryant was one of the best wide receivers in the nation the year previous to this past season where he was suspended for lying to NCAA Officials. A lot of people have overlooked the one who helped Bryant become what he was in Zac Robinson though.
Robinson played in all four of his years at Oklahoma State and started three of those years. In those three years, Robinson's stats have been relatively consistent. However, in 2008, Robinson and Bryant hooked up several times and were considered to be one of the better Quarterback/ Wide Receiver pairs in NCAA Football.
Robinson's final year (2009), he had to play without his number one wide receiver but continued to sling the ball all around the field to multiple other players. The Cowboys finished the regular season with a 9-3 record but ultimately lost their bowl game (The AT&T Cotton Bowl) versus the Ole Miss Rebels. Robinson played poorly in that last game along with the rest of that team.
Leading up to the draft, he has participated in several events to help his stock. Although he has put forth the effort, he was really unable to elevate where he will be picked by much, if any at all. I think that Robinson will be a good project quarterback for someone in the later rounds. He does have a decent skill-set though and did have success at the college level. I am not sure what to make of Robinson and whether or not he will ever start is a big question, but he could very well turn out to be one of those players that emerges out of nowhere in a few years similar to that of a Tony Romo type of player.
Below, we'll look at some stats and highlights of Zac Robinson and I will provide a projection of where I think we're likely to see him drafted.
The video here is a bit different from the typicall highlight reel. It illustrates the art of the chemistry that Zac Robinson and Dez Bryant were able to develop through the years together. It runs just a few minutes but I found it to be interesting and you may as well.

SUMMARY AND PROJECTION:
Robinson will have his work cut out for him at the next level and that's the bottom line. He is not your prototypical pocket passer and often finds himself passing on the run. He has adequate arm strength but he's not the type of player that's going to tightly thread the needle in a 8x8 window. However, Robinson does have a good character, great work ethic and possesses the will and drive to win. He is the ideal guy that a team could hope for in a solid back up. That may be Robinson ever amounts to at the next level but time will tell his story. He measured at 6'2" and weighed 214 LBS at the 2010 NFL Scouting Combine.
Possibilities -- 6th Round: Picks 170-207, 7th Round: 208-255.
