49ers to host Family Day at Candlestick Park on June 12

Fans are always looking for ways to get close to their team, whether it be following a player on Twitter, attending FanFests, or simply attending games. Next month, the 49ers will host a Family Day event at Candlestick Park. The event will kick off at 10am and will included appearances by Mike Singletary, members of the current team, 49ers alumni, Gold Rush cheerleaders, Niner Noise and Sourdough Sam. I'm not quite sure at this point what "Niner Noise" is. Tickets to the event are free, but you have to register for them. Head here to register.

The event will also include interesting and unique behind the scenes access, including a question and answer session with Coach Singletary, tours of the 49ers Locker Room and autographs from 49ers past and present. Youth football activities, contests, interactive games, live music, cheerleading clinics, photo opportunities, and Football 101 sessions with 49ers alumni Gary Plummer are also available.

Each fan who enters will receive scratch-and-win cards, with prizes including tickets to a home game, concessions, merchandise, 49ers Kids Club memberships, and youth football camps, among other things.

And of course, there will sponsor booths including a Comcast SportsNet Fancaster Experience booth and other booths from SanDisk, 107.7 The Bone, Sports Gallery, MetroPCS and The San Francisco Chronicle. To get in you'll need to park in the interior parking lot and enter through parking gate three or four. Parking is free to the public and you'll enter Candlestick Park through stadium gate F.

If anybody from Niners Nation attends, please try and get some pictures of the event that you can post here afterward.
