Golden Nuggets: So what did you get me?

Good morning everyone. It's June 23rd which means.. it's Ninjames' birthday! That's right. The rest of the front page posters here are jerks because they wouldn't do the Nuggets for me... Well really, I didn't ask them. But yes, it is my birthday, I'm a year older and I think I'm getting more immature by the day but what the heck, I have a good thing going on here. Still, there ain't no rest for the wicked, I've gotta get your Nuggets ready and a couple other things for you. Anyway, as far as what links I have for you today, there's not much. We've got some fallout from the whole McCloughan-joining-Seahawks thing... I'm totally over that already and I'm sure a little bit more but not much else. Rest assured I'll stall my way through it and you guys will love me as always, etc etc.. Enjoy!

Maiocco takes an in-depth look at the hiring of Scot McCloughan by the Seattle Seahawks. I didn't read this because I'm honestly over it. (CSNBayArea.com)

Barrows has a rundown of all the McCloughan picks and where they are now. He wasn't bad by any means but I don't mourn his loss from the team, nor do I lament his signing by the Seahawks. (SacBee.com)

Scouts Inc. thinks the 49ers biggest weakness is at the cornerback position. I'm inclined to agree. (ESPN.com)

After taking a look at the defensive side of the ball, Maiocco has his player-by-player review on the offensive side of things. (CSNBayArea.com)

49ers-Cardinals rivalry? Get oughta heeyah! It's all about the 49ers-Seahawks rivalry. Well, to be completely honest, the 49ers and Rams have had the best rivalry in the NFC West in the past, though am I the only one who gets the feeling the games between those two of late have almost been... friendly? Maybe it's perceived that way because of Isaac Bruce. (PressDemocrat.com)

QB David Carr thinks that he'll get his chance again. I'm all for second chances, but for the sake of the 49ers, Carr won't ever see the field in the regular season. Kind of like when I interviewed Jerry Rice, I told him I hoped Crabtree broke all of his records. He understood. (PressDemocrat.com)

Nate Byham thinks that he's right where he needs to be. At the very least he seems a bit ahead of where Bear Pascoe was.. I think.. maybe.. not. (PressDemocrat.com)

Rival Blog Buzz At Revenge of the Birds, they rank the best running backs in the NFC West. Nothing really of substance from Field Gulls today. Turf Show Times takes a look at possible hidden gems and provides some further reading on Bradford/Manning comparisons. Hmmm. I think Gilyard could be good.

Yesterday On Niners Nation Kicked off with the Nuggets, we had another 53-man roster projection, Smileyman had another By the Numbers post, and then future-me had a post from the future recapping the game against the Seahawks.

Today On Niners Nation(All times pacific and subject to change)

7:00 AM - Fooch will have a post on the 49ers punt returners.

11:00 AM - Smileyman should have a post at this point.

2:00 PM - I most likely will have an At Least We're Not on the Dallas Cowboys at two.

4:30 PM - Either Fooch or myself will get something up here, if I do, it will be a player profile.

Yesterday's Best Comment "Sorry if this text is a little mispelt but... I’m driving while texting on my way too reno to get my bet in.
