Golden Nuggets: Dynasty

Aaaand, we have NFL! Oh man, oh man! It does feel good, I can say that for sure. It was a rather ugly game to kickoff with, but what the heck, we don't care about those teams, right? All last night showed us was that the Saints will be playing the 49ers twice this year. For those of you who don't get it, I'm implying NFC Championship Game. If I'm going to be a homer, I may as well do it to the fullest extent. 49ers dynasty, baby. Seriously, though, Thursday games anger me when it's week one. It makes it so much harder to wait until Sunday. We had a lot on Niners Nation yesterday, despite a relatively slow news day, which we can probably all be thankful for in light of what's went on this offseason, and we should have a lot for you coming up today. So enjoy the links and what not.

WR Michael Crabtree had a rare interview with the media. He also got a kiss from Vernon Davis. Um ... cool, I guess. (PressDemocrat.com)

Here's Maiocco's latest 49ers notebook, which is just a general article with notes and the like. I certainly hope Taylor Mays can play special teams well, because we don't have many guys who can. (CSNBayArea.com)

Our rookie offensive linemen are bracing for the crowd noise at Qwest Field. I think they'll do well. (PressDemocrat.com)

We've got two Smiths on offense and two on defense - let's take a look at the latter. (49ers.com)

Brian Westbrook should play on Sunday, but he'll probably be limited, which I'm alright with. (PressDemocrat.com)

Why not? Some week one picks and the like. (MercuryNews.com)

Travis LaBoy will be stepping up for Ahmad Brooks with his injury, and is looking to take advantage of what appears to be a shaky Seahawks team. (SacBee.com)

The 49ers special-teams unit is a work in progress. Which I hate. (SacBee.com)
