Golden Nuggets: Need results

Good morning everyone, Ninjames here. I'm getting anxious. Maybe it's a bit insecure of me, but I want to see the 49ers play and dominate the Chiefs right now so I can for sure feel good about my team, you know? I don't know if anyone else shares those sentiments, but that's something I want to see to inspire confidence in this team, because Singletary and his grand speeches are no longer doing the trick. I feel like I'm getting more and more cynical, but I assure you, I'm still happy with this team for the most part and I love the 49ers more than ever. I just need results right now. Like, as soon as possible. Yesterday, even. I'm thinking about going to sleep until Sunday, which seems like a viable option to me. Would you guys miss the Nuggets? Probably not. On to your links.

The 49ers could be looking for help at the linebacker position. I'm not entirely sure we need it, but you know how it goes. I do have a whole lot of confidence in NaVorro Bowman, though. (SacBee.com)

Play-calling seemed to be vastly improved for the team on Monday against the Saints, but that was a home, a non-hostile environment. Against the Chiefs at Arrowhead, it will see a real test. Have my fingers crossed. (PressDemocrat.com)

Here's the game stream for Sunday's showdown against the Chiefs. It will be updated throughout the week with crucial news. (SBNationBayArea.com)

Here's the audio from Coach Singletary on KNBR, as well as the audio from a conference call with Todd Haley. Why not, here's the audio from the Mike Vrabel conference call as well. (49ers.com)

LB NaVorro Bowman expects to start on Sunday against the Chiefs. I'm happy about that. (SacBee.com)

Here's a good post with some reactions to the Monday night game that I must have missed beforehand, a lot of good notes and the like. (BayAreaSportsGuy.com)

Ronnie Lott explains his talk with the Saints, which I've even yet to read up on, so I'm not sure what to say about this. Personally, I don't care at all. (CSNBayArea.com)

How about a look at QB Alex Smith's performance on third down? (ESPN.com)

Vernon Davis says the 49ers are going to win. How about that? (MercuryNews.com)

Singletary explained his reasoning for not keeping Diyral Briggs on the roster. I'm still not happy with it. Oh well, my opinion is just that: my opinion. (Examiner.com)

How do you feel about Alex Smith running the ball more? I'm OK with it, mostly if it's on the left side, but I don't want it to be his "way out," of every play. (PressDemocrat.com)

Glad to see the 49ers offense stepping it up on Monday. I know it was already said once, but it's worth saying again, I think. (49ers.com)
