Saturday Night Open Thread: Interviews, Stanford-WSU, Oregon-ASU

We're a little over 16 hours away from kickoff of the 49ers-Lions week six showdown, so why not take some time to relax a little bit tonight and get ready for what could be a crazy day tomorrow. I don't know about the rest of the country, but in the Bay Area we have some great weather, so I'm thinking I'll continue to enjoy it a little more until game-time tomorrow.

As we roll through the rest of this evening, I wanted to point out a few things specifically, although you are more than welcome to use this as a broader open thread for the evening.

We have a couple big college football games going on now and into the evening. Stanford is playing at Washington State and currently leads 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. The WSU defense is getting physical with the Cardinal receivers so we'll see if the Stanford offense can get going. Leading receiver Chris Owusu was knocked out of the game on a big hit over the middle. He has yet to return.

The big game tonight is Oregon hosting Arizona State. LaMichael James is still listed as a possibility tonight after his dislocation last week, but I'd image Chip Kelly probably sits him out. The first BCS rankings come out tomorrow so Oregon will look to remain in the hunt until James is 100%. Check out Drew's breakdown of Oregon-ASU earlier this morning in our college thread.

On an unrelated note, if you haven't seen it yet, user Max Strauss posted a FanShot linking an interview he conducted with 49ers fullback Bruce Miller. Strauss is a high school senior who has hustled to track down a variety of NFL interviews. He is always looking for feedback on the interviews he conducts, so check it out and chime in with your thoughts.
