Sunday Night Football Open Thread

It's been a fun day of football and we're left with Sunday Night Football between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. We had some questionable matchups throughout the day, but we ended up with some football. The Seahawks lost to the Redskins, which puts the 49ers magic number at one to clinch the NFC West. Philadelphia is traveling to Seattle on Thursday Night Football this coming week, so it remains to be seen when the 49ers whether the 49ers will head into their game against the Rams with the division in hand, or still looking to clinch.

Speaking of the Eagles, they were whipped by the New England Patriots and we actually had a Fire Andy chant going up at the Linc. The Eagles looked to be climbing back into the NFC East race, but they cannot capitalize. The Giants may lose to the saints on Monday, but the Eagles seem to be just about finished.

In San Diego, "Tebow Time" brought the Broncos yet another come-from-behind victory. I don't really know what happened with this game. The Broncos got a strong game from Willis McGahee and some timely plays from Tim Tebow, but their defense also got thrashed by Ryan Mathews to the tune of 137 rushing yards. Philip Rivers wasn't able to capitalize on the strong rushing attack as he was only able to complete 19 of 36 passes for 188 yards and a touchdown. He didn't turn the ball over, but he didn't make enough plays.

The Chiefs and the Steelers get going tonight in what could be a stinker or could turn into a solid game. The Chiefs have lost three straight and will roll out Tyler Palko one more time. KC acquired Kyle Orton off waivers but he is inactive tonight as he continues to learn the offense. I'm not holding my breath for a big game from the Chiefs, but you never know.
