We don't have the official 49ers practice report for Wednesday, but based on some early reports, right guard Adam Snyder was out on the practice field in full pads. Snyder strained his hamstring last Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens and there were some concerns it might cost him action this week. I was figuring he would sit out practice today, but that is not the case. We'll find out later today if he is a full or limited participant, but just getting out there is a big step forward.
Braylon Edwards did not take part in the team's practice and it would not be surprising to see him sit out this Sunday against the Rams. The 49ers need the victory, but if they can get Edwards sufficiently rested for the final stretch run and into the playoffs, so be it. It isn't the optimal scenario, but they need to get Edwards healthy given his big play potential.
It is also worth noting that Bruce Miller was on the practice field but in a no-contact jersey. He is getting over a concussion from two weeks ago and while he said he could have played if Week 12's game had been on Sunday, we still don't have official confirmation that he will play this Sunday.
