Week 9 NFL Schedule: Non-49ers Morning Games Highlighted By Bucs-Saints, Jets-Bills

The 49ers will be kicking off at 10:00am PT, which means most folks in here will be enjoying that game over any others. The morning slate of games includes a few intriguing matchups, with Tampa Bay-New Orleans and NY Jets-Buffalo sitting as the best matchups of the morning.

The battle for the top draft pick will be in high gear as well with the Colts hosting Atlanta and the Dolphins traveling to Kansas City. I'd imagine we can likely mark up a pair of losses right there. Atlanta has been a bit inconsistent this season, but I would be surprised if they could not handle their business in Indianapolis.

The NFC West features two morning games and then a divisional matchup in the afternoon. We know all about the 49ers-Redskins game, but at the same time the Seattle Seahawks will be squaring off in their own battle with the NFC East as they travel to face the Dallas Cowboys. Seatte started off with some halfway decent play this season, but they have since plummeted back to earth. I do not sense good things in this game for Seattle.

Speaking of plummeting back to earth, the formerly 1-0 Arizona Cardinals are in the middle of a six game losing streak and will host the St. Louis Rams Sunday afternoon. Sam Bradford is a game-time decision for this one as he deals with an ankle issue. I think St. Louis takes this one on the back of running back Steven Jackson. Everything is falling apart for Arizona and I think the Rams are going to have a modest resurgence these next few weeks.

After the 49ers game we'll have our usual recap material, but instead of using those for discussion of the afternoon games, I'll have a separate non-49ers game thread for discussion of the five afternoon games. That will post at approximately 12:50.
