Saturday night NFL action returns tonight as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Dallas Cowboys. The Bucs have been wildly inconsistent this season and now sit at 4-9. The Cowboys are 7-6 and tied for first the NFC East. They need a win to maintain pace in both the division race and for a possible wildcard berth. The NFC East is likely going to come down to a wild finish this season.
The most interesting aspect of this game might be the fact that from a purely statistical perspective, Cowboys QB Tony Romo might be having the best season of his career. He has some work to do to reach career highs in a couple categories, but the combination of yards, touchdowns and few interceptions are all really quite impressive. Of course, the Cowboys have been up and down as a whole so the statistics don't necessarily reflect the complete picture.
This is a must-win for the Cowboys, but Tampa Bay is wildly unpredictable. I think the Cowboys get the win, but Josh Freeman suddenly blowing up would not surprise me in the least.
