2011 NFL Pro Day Schedule: Florida, Pittsburgh, Kansas State Highlight The Day

We're back for another day of 2011 NFL Pro Days as we continue on the road to the 2011 NFL Draft. Today's slate of schools includes Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky, Emporia State, Florida, Kansas State, McNeese State, Montana State, Pittsburgh, Robert Morris, Southeast Louisiana, and Towson. It's not a huge day for potential 49ers but the bigger schools have some names worth considering in at least passing fashion.

The best player per Scouts Inc ratings is Florida center Mike Pouncey. The center position is all over the place right now and the lockout only serves to further muddy the waters. The 49ers have Eric Heitmann signed and then have David Baas entering unrestricted free agency. Word has been that both sides are looking to get a long term deal done, but who knows what the labor strife means to that.

Now that we're well into the lockout, I don't expect resolution in time for the draft, or at least in time to get free agency started before the draft. Teams officially have to start looking with greater urgency at backup plans that account for a lack of free agency. Where does the team consider centers if at all during the upcoming NFL Draft?
