2011 NFL Pro Days: Christian Ballard, Ricky Stanzi & Iowa

2011 NFL Pro Days continue today as we are now a little under six weeks away from the 2011 NFL Draft. Today's Pro Days include Abilene Christian, Georgia Southern, Iowa, North Dakota State, and Valdosta State. The most "talented" player is probably defensive end Adrian Clayburn, who Scpeopouts Inc rates as the 21st overall player in this year's draft. The other early round option is Christian Ballard, who I've seen mentioned in some 49ers mock drafts as a second round option. I'm curious how Ballard could fit in as I've seen comments that he's either not a fit as a 3-4 defensive end or actually a very solid fit as a 3-4 defensive end. What do folks think?

The player that folks will likely be checking out at least a little bit is Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi. He hasn't really impressed during the road to the NFL Draft, struggling during the Senior Bowl practices. Scouts Inc gives him high marks for toughness and leadership, but rates him below average for decision-making and accuracy. Mocking The Draft agrees with Scouts Inc in regards to the decision-making issues. A player can improve in that area but it's not exactly inspiring to hear that kind of criticism.

Is there anybody out there who actually likes Stanzi as a late round pick? No judgment if you do, but rather I'm curious to hear what people like about him.
