Golden Nuggets: Please Hurry Up And Get Here, Draft

We really are well into the offseason at this point, no? We only had a couple front page posts yesterday, which leads me to believe I may have missed something I was supposed to do. Maybe - I'm not sure. I'm a little under the weather at this point, so the Golden Nuggets today will probably be brief. There's not a whole lot to discuss as it stands right now, and I believe there's only one or two links for you today.  Expect things to operate at a slow crawl up until the draft, and potentially during it, depending on how it actually looks when it comes to fruition. There's not much else to say, so let's get to the links. Enjoy.

The 49ers initially tried to get Kevin Mawae when Eric Heitmann went down with an injury. It makes sense, because they both play the position in a similar way and they're both very intelligent leaders. (SacBee.com)

Sando has some random notes from the owners meetings, and there's quite the gem about Jim Harbaugh. I love that we have a coach that seems so dedicated and driven, but we need to remember that ... Mike Singletary was an awfully dedicated man, as well. (ESPN.com)

Here is his latest mailbag post, as well. (ESPN.com)

NFC West players, alumni lead labor charge. I like to see Takeo Spikes active and representing in what I believe to be a realistic and fair way. (ESPN.com)
