Niners Nation After Dark: Where Not Even NFL CBA & Labor Issues Are As Crazy As Charlie Sheen

Welcome back for another night of Niners Nation After Dark. We may get crazy about the NFL Lockout mess and a potential CBA, but we can't begin to get Charlie Sheen nutty! I realize Charlie Sheen has little or nothing to do with the NFL, but I wanted to post a link that is a fun little game: Guessing whether a quotation was said by Charlie Sheen, Muammar Qadaffi, or Glenn Beck.

If you're offended by any of the political overtones of this link I apologize. I got eight of the fifteen quotations correct on the first try. If you get it wrong you can keep guessing. I'm not sure yet which of these is my favorite quotation. And if you're really bored I recommend checking out Charlie Sheen's two day old Twitter account. He had over a million followers in less than 24 hours. I don't really know how to describe the bizarre nature of this past week with Charlie Sheen.

Now that I've got that off my chest, time to get back to the seriousness. At the time of this posting we'll be 21 hours away from the expiration time of the current NFL CBA. We'll have plenty of coverage leading up to 9pm pacific later today as smileyman will continue what have been nightly updates here at Niners Nation. At this point I really have no idea what to expect by 9pm tonight. The sides have been negotiating with renewed intensity the last few days, but the differences might just be too much for a quick settlement. Come 9pm I don't expect a deal to be done but I'm hoping for the best.

I thought I'd include a poll just to see what people think at this point. This doesn't include the various legal maneuverings of decertification and lawsuits. Rather, it's a fairly simple question. By 9pm tonight we could have a completely new CBA in place, we could have an extension of the current CBA for another year to prevent a work stoppage, we could just have an extension of the expiration deadline for a shorter time frame to prevent a work stoppage, or we won't have any deal by 9pm. That final answer includes all the possible fallout from that wrapped into one simple answer. What do you think?
