2011 NFL Draft, San Francisco 49ers: NN Community Cornerback Positional Ranking

Over the last week we had a poll set up to figure out cornerback rankings for the 2011 NFL Draft, and votes have sufficiently slowed down enough to call it a day. We did not include Patrick Peterson and Prince Amukamara in the vote since the consensus (95% of you at least) felt they were clearly the top two cornerbacks in the draft. What I have done with this post is include a poll to see how you would rank them in terms of number one and two.

Here are the top eight vote-getters, which will get us to a top ten when we include PP and Prince. After each name in parentheses is total points and then total first place votes. After the jump you can view the full results and breakdown of first through fifth place votes. I don't think there are many surprises in the first few names. Aaron Williams' stock has not improved as it seems like he's likely to end up playing safety at some point in the near future.

Right now it would seem like the 49ers have a shot at Peterson or Amukamara in the first round, while they might be looking at Ras-I Dowling or others with that second round pick if they don't grab PP or Prince. Jimmy Smith and Brandon Harris would seem to be unlikely barring a trade down in the first or a trade up from the second.

7. Davon House, New Mexico State (135, 3)
8. Brandon Burton, Utah (82, 1)
9. Curtis Brown, Texas (78, 3)
