Jim Harbaugh On KNBR 680: Talking Michael Crabtree, Alex Smith, NFL Lockout

Fooch's Update: We've got a link to audio thanks to Edggy. It's 15 minutes long.

49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh was on the Murph & Mac Show on KNBR earlier today and 49ers.com currently has the audio posted (wrong link. I'll keep an eye out for it. In the meantime, check out links to quotes at bottom). The segment is approximately 30 15 minutes, which gives Harbaugh time to chat about a whole variety of topics. I think he made one of the more interesting analogies when he discussed Michael Crabtree. He compared it to being a kid and getting into some tussles and bloodying some noses while you try and figure things out. We often forget how young some of these guys are and how little experience in life they sometimes have. That's not so much an excuse as it is some context for what's been going on.

Naturally, Harbaugh is pleased with the player-led practices and it shouldn't surprise anybody that he pointed out the good character involved and how that is a bonus in this kind of situation. I have a feeling the word character will become quite the buzz word...so much so that a drinking game might not be a good idea for it.

My favorite line has to be when he said he didn't know that particulars of what went on at San Jose State and he didn't want to know the particulars. He has to watch what he says in regards to lockout stuff, but it's still amusing to listen to coaches dancing around some of these topics.

It's not an earth-shattering interview by any stretch of the imagination, but check out the quotes pulled by BarrowsBranch, and Maiocco.
