Golden Nuggets: Blame The Rap Music; Also Some Lockout News

Good morning everybody, running with a 3:00 a.m. post time tonight because, well, I didn't start these until 2:00 a.m. I blame the rap music these days, that's what's wrong with everything in our society, including late Nuggets. So blame it on Lil Wayne. In tangible 49ers-related news, don't forget to go vote for one of three people for the Edward J. DeBartolo Hall of Fame, the voting will run until the middle of next month. There was apparent movement in regards to the lockout and getting something done, but the news wasn't all good, at least for us. A couple key guys will likely be unrestricted free agents as opposed to, you know, restricted. I'm honestly just happy that something might be getting done. Pessimism is working out so far, so I'm going to go ahead and suggest that no deal will get done for the next year. Oh yeah. Here's some linkage, blogslaves.

As stated, the proposed labor agreement would benefit a couple 49ers players, namely Dashon Goldson, Ray McDonald and Manny Lawson. I think some team will give Lawson stupid money, Goldson needs to be brought back at a decent price because he's still got a lot of potential and ... well, McDonald is a guy I really like, but there's some really good defensive ends out there that I'd like the 49ers to pursue. (SacBee.com)

Maiocco makes a good point in that Goldson is the only player we don't have a good idea about in regards to worth and also how much he'll actually good. The 49ers have a decision to make. (CSNBayArea.com)

Like I noted before, go vote in the Edward J. DeBartolo hall of fame. Do it. Now. (49ers.com)

McDonald thinks he's got what it takes to be a starter, and wants to go somewhere that can give him an opportunity to do so. I'm not convinced he can be, but we'll see I suppose. (SacBee.com)

I like the way the offensive line is shaping up, and that's something I didn't think I'd be saying at any point this ... decade. That's how bad the line seemed. They definitely are quite a ways from being above-average in the pass-blocking area, however. (Scout.com)

It's pretty clear that Patrick Willis disagrees with his position on the NFL Network's Top 100 Players of 2011. It's a joke list to begin with, but yeah. You know. Still find myself being mad about it, like snubs for the useless Pro Bowl. (Scout.com)
