Golden Nuggets: Getting Some National Publicity Can Be Nice

I'm back to cover the Golden Nuggets for one more day while James sleeps off what will likely be an epic birthday hangover (is there any other kind?) The highlight of today's Nuggets might be the 49ers inclusion USA Today. While it may be the McDonald's of newspapers, inclusion in USA Today is still pretty cool in terms of media coverage in my opinion. It's a national story and gets the team some publicity, which is always nice. The 49ers do get their share of publicity, but during the down times it's not quite so frequent.

Do you care at all if the 49ers get any sort of national publicity, or would you rather they just hum along under the radar? Once the team is dominant again, that's when the coverage is nice. For now, I'd rather be the under the radar team that comes out of nowhere. Of course, the publicity surrounding the Harbaugh-colypse probably will keep the team squarely on the radar.
